Are you flying off to a special destination for your wedding?  It might be so you can keep it small or it might be a central location because you have family all over the world. What ever the why is, there is no reason you can't still indulge in some wedding traditions.

Many brides feel it's all to hard to arrange a beautiful bomboniere or wedding favour for their destination.  Or they find their options very limited if they are bringing them from home. The other common concern is they are more expensive if sources in the destination country/ location.  I'm here to tell you it is easier than you think and you have almost as many options as someone having their wedding at home.

The secret? There are a couple of considerations, well THREE to be precise.

1. Check the regulations of the destination and your airline.

There may be restrictions on what you can bring into a country or location.  Australia has some of the strictest food import laws but many destination wedding loca...

Juggling that wedding budget is tough. If you are anything like me, you will keep seeing things that are "oh so pretty" and you have to consider if you can include them.  My questions is..."why can't some of those things serve a dual purpose?"

A perfect example of a wedding something that could also be something else is the bomboniere or wedding favour! If you are looking for suggestions, check out the article I wrote recently about different options for favours

Have you considered combining your bomboniere or wedding favour with the place settings? Guests love those special little touches of things with their name on them.  It's especially good if Uncle George or cousin Sandra is known for trying to stockpile a heap of goodies to take home. Options include cookies stamped with names, tags on packaging with individual names or little sign posts on mini desserts.

The next thing is the dessert buffet.  Consider providing small boxes so people can take a selection of small things...

Whether it is you or a friend getting married, finding the right wedding favour for the guests can be a challenge.  There are so many options available.

I tell all my brides, couples, bridesmaids, mother of the bride or who ever is organising the favours - find something simple that resonates with the couple.  Essentially the wedding favour or bomboniere is another extension of the wedding. Here are a heap of examples of what you can do. Some are traditional(ish) and some are a bit more out of the box.  The most important thing to remember is...they are all customisable in a variety of ways.

Chocolate! Everyone loves chocolate (ok yes there may be one or two people who don't but we can't please everyone).

Custom chocolates or bonbons are magical because they can be almost any colour AND flavour! You can have just chocolate or pair with cookies for even more versatility. Have a look at our chocolate gallery to see more colour options

Late last year I had the awesome luck to win a brand refresh photo shoot with Nicole Barralet Photography.  It included hair and makeup, personal pics, some product pics and a short video about my business. The results have been amazing and I would do it again (and pay) in a heartbeat.

Why I wanted to do the shoot

I entered a competition a few hours after a minor surgery, so I was still pretty groggy.  If I am honest with myself I probably wouldn’t have done it otherwise.  See I hate being in front of the camera. I avoid it at all costs but I figured I would get something half decent pics if a professional did them.

Did I think I would win...NO but figured I had to be in it to win it and it was a small step towards getting out of my comfort zone.  The post-surgery drug haze helped with lowering the freaking out meter!

The video part of the offer drew me in, I try to do them often but don’t have the right set up to make them look profesh.  I need a little assistant to follow me...

What can branded sweet treats do for you.

We all love a good gift. Your clients or potential clients are no different.  Gift giving indicates you value the recipient.  It helps to build and maintain relationships.

Imagine you have been shopping around for a particular product.  Its a large investment and a couple of the companies offer similar products.  You take all the info home to sleep on it.  A day or so later you sit down to review the info and make a decision.  One of the info packs includes a little something to nibble on while reading.  Hmmm, yep I remember that sales person was pretty awesome and this product does what I want.  Subconsciously it sways your decision.

Gifting after closing a deal cements the relationship and shows appreciation for their custom.  When you feel good about a transaction you are more likely to recommend a product or service to friends.

It doesn’t matter where your clients are in their purchasing cycle, there is a be...

There is no rule to say your branded corporate gifts have to include a logo.  Different options suit different situations.  I want to outline a few real life examples for you.

These Pantone colour swatch cookies were for a new colour range launch. Regular clients attended the launch which was held at the hosts showroom.  The clients were talking about the cookies for months afterwards.  Several asked if there would be more at the next colour launch. No logo was not an issue here.  The fun nature of the product made it memorable.

Using your brand palette to colour seasonal gifts (eg Christmas, Easter etc) is a great way to stand out from the crowd.  In this instance, logo ribbon or specific messages are used to further identify the creations which are personally delivered by a senior member of staff.  The recipients have regularly mentioned that they look forward to seeing what the company will come up with each year.

Logo cookies are an ext...

We may have been a little quiet lately but there is a good reason.  I’ve been working hard on a new range of packaged confectionary goodies.  There has been months of recipe and flavour testing, packaging development and finding the right time to get it out there to you.

Now that is all done, I am pleased to share the results with you! For now the range includes brittles (both plain and choc coated), sweet rubbles (think crunchy flavour bombs) and chocolate blocks for sharing (or not). I think there is something for everyone, some classic flavours and a few contemporary, there is even something for the chilli lover.

As always I have new flavours in mind and a few more product varieties...always thinking! And yes it keeps me up at night!!

Brittle

Our brittles are airy and a bit of a brittle/ honeycomb hybrid I guess. It means you get the toffee and crunch of brittle without breaking you teeth (your dentist will totally thank us)
